Penélope Cruz Sánchez is a Spanish actress and model, signed at age 15, made her acting debut at 16 on television and her feature film debut the following year in Jamón, jamón (1992), to critical acclaim. Cruz achieved recognition for her lead roles in the 2001 films Vanilla Sky and Blow.

She has since built a successful career, appearing in films from a range of genres, from thrillers to family friendly holiday features. She has received critical acclaim for her roles in Volver (2006) and Nine (2009) receiving Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations for each. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2008 for Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008). She was the first Spanish actress in history to receive an Academy Award and the first Spanish actress to receive a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Cruz has modeled for companies such as Mango, Ralph Lauren and L’Oréal. Penélope and her younger sister Mónica Cruz have designed items for Mango. Cruz has volunteered in Uganda and India; she donated her salary from The Hi-Lo Country to help fund the late nun’s mission. A wax sculpture of Cruz will be placed in a premier spot in the Grevin Wax Museum in Paris.

Elena Anaya (born July 17, 1975) is a Spanish actress whose career dates back to 1995. Anaya was born in Palencia, Spain on July 17, 1975. She is the youngest of 5 children. She first received international attention in 2001 for her role in the sexually explicit drama Lucía y el sexo (Sex and Lucía) and also appeared in Pedro Almodóvar’s Hable con ella (Talk to Her). Her best-known Hollywood film role was as a vampire in 2004’s Van Helsing, playing Dracula’s bride, Aleera. She is also featured in Justin Timberlake’s music video for his 2006 single, SexyBack. In 2004, she was named as one of European films’ Shooting Stars by European Film Promotion.

Verdú was born María Isabel Verdú Rollán. She began acting at 13. She has appeared in almost 50 movies since 1984. Most have been in Spanish. She has also been in TV shows. In 2007, she was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. She won a Goya Award in 2008 for her lead role in Seven Billiard Tables (Siete mesas de billar francés).
